Monthly Treeverse Update #24
The twenty-fourth edition of monthly Treeverse updates. Read below for some game development insights on what we’ve worked on in the last month.
An update on Treeverse. A look at our development and art team progress. We will be posting monthly for you to follow along the development of Treeverse, so make sure you subscribe!
Next month is the end of 2023, and also the start of finally getting you, our community — some gameplay and releases! Starting with a dev release of Treeverse (& Capsule Heroes) aimed for end of dec/start of jan.
Most people may not read our monthly updates in detail, but we’ve got a massive amount of support for what we’ve been building on our X. With gameplay coming together and the base being set, expect many more gameplay clips so we can speak with videos and not just words. Our monthly updates have continuously gotten better every month, and we aren’t stopping anytime soon (wait for Dec for the big banger!).
Regarding the care package that we’ve been talking about for months now, December IS the month. All of them are already created and ready to ship.
In the meantime, here is a 5 min dungeon walkthrough with resource gathering:
*Keep in mind this contains visual bugs, missing features, no sound or music, etc.
Art Update
By Scott
For this month, the art team is in the process of creating more content. The concept art team is working with the lore designer to flesh out more of the ancient design, imagining how the ancient culture worked to better integrate the over designs. This includes overall environment sketches, mood and scenarios, and prop designs. This will help with designing the decayed version of the designs and make them more believable, instead of creating the decayed version first, which can lead to some incomplete designs. You can see Some of the concepts below.
The 3d team is expanding the player models with gears, working from some of the concepts we have shown previously. The team has worked on the horn owl and golem gear set.
There are also a lot of less interesting but necessary props being created behind the scenes, such as planks, doors, and other minor decorations. We won’t show them all here but understand that they are still being created and are part of the work being done every month.

As mentioned in the intro, we can move to more gameplay clips and releases now. So expect future updates to be more full. 2024 will be a massive year.
“It can only get better from here.” — This is the perfect way to describe the state our game is in now. More content. More features. Polished art. Better builds. etc.
