An update on Treeverse. A look at our development and art team progress. We will be posting monthly for you to follow along the development of Treeverse, so make sure you subscribe!
Our dev build was running from January, and we had hundreds of people test out the build. Extremely grateful and the team appreciate all the feedback we’ve got. It was closed down last week as we prepare for our next build which will be much more open.
We also launched our Plushie Package live on our store today.

Development Update
We finally merged our Items rework yesterday. It was a large refactor that required changes to many additional systems due to dependencies including inventory, crafting, engraving (previously called infusion).
We’ll be spending the next couple of weeks stabilizing and restoring all functionality and working on improving some existing designs. Designers will be migrating all content over in the meantime.
We have also started our localization support, so most of the text in the game should changed based on the users locale settings.
We’ve almost finished our first implementation of our login flow via immutable passport as well as setting up the foundations for a server architecture that can scale for large number of users. The solution is generic enough to allow us to easily create any number of servers as our project requires.
From a devops perspective, things are also looking good. We are able to get reliable builds for our various server using github actions and have almost finished the automation for android and ios clients. We expect to have deployment completely automated before the end of the quarter to support continuous updates.
We’ve started to expand our engineering team and have introduced two new engineers to the project. This should significantly increase our output in terms of engineering going forward. We have also setup the basics of the server architecture in preparation for a much larger user base.
Going Forward
We lost some momentum due to the refactors, but ultimately the purpose has always been to allow us to accelerate our ongoing development and extend our capabilities. Sharpen the axe before chopping the trees as they say.
We have the architecture setup to support a large number of concurrent users in the game and start testing that as well.We are working towards an open alpha release. We have more content available and some adjustments to existing features. The main purpose of the open alpha would be to allow for the entire flow including immutable passport login and integration into the game.
