An update on Treeverse. A look at our development and art team progress. We will be posting monthly for you to follow along the development of Treeverse, so make sure you subscribe!
Last month $END TGE’d. This will be the tradeable premium currency of Treeverse. You’ll be able to spend it on cosmetics like mounts and pets or features like extra guild space. A full list of potential sinks (note: these are subject to change) are listed in the new Endless Clouds Foundation Docs.
We’ve also shared some more curated detail on the world of Treeverse that we will copy and paste in this article. Any finer details can be read on the docs.
Core Game Loop
The advancement of your character via the talent tree is the primary progression mechanism of the game. You become more powerful, unlock new capabilities, can use better items and equip more powerful gear. All of this is handled through this system which rewards players for their efforts based on what they do in game.
World Lore
The objective of the player is to prove the tale that Arboro left for every adventure. Group of islands and areas plagued by monsters. Why do these monsters exist? Arboro said he found the world tree (Vara). He built Lorwick as a settlement town whilst searching for the World Tree. Disappeared without anyone knowing if he found it or not. But left behind clues. Monsters are cursed humans from ancient times. These humans await for the cure to rid them of the curse.
Basic Setting
Axis Mundi - The centre of the world. Comprised of Vara, Trees and Rootlines
Vara (World Tree)
is the central point of the rootline that extends across the entire island. Each tree of knowledge belonging to different tribes can trace their origins and the source of their power back to Vara.
Guardian Trees
Special trees. Grow in their own preferred terrain, and different tribes gather around them to form a settlement. Each tree has different knowledge about one of the four elemental powers that they share with the people.

Water Cedar
Rootlines
A network of streams that enable the energy of Vara to flow freely to each Tree of knowledge and through the entire island. Additionally, different tribes can communicate with the Trees of knowledge via the rootlines. The process is notably slow.
Season 1 total rewards have been distributed totalling $500,000+ in $END, $IMX, $ETH, $MON and NFTs!
Also we’ve shed some more light on Season 2. It will be a massive upgrade from Season 1 in many ways: from a mini-prologue, core feature implementation, upgraded & new zones, cool cosmetic features and more!
It is estimated to have 4x more playable content. The specific details will be shared closer to launch date.
We are also making a lot of progress on our Timeless skins! They are being reinterpreted to fit the lore of Treeverse with each trait being redesigned from concept to model and then finally a unique shader.

Design team have tidied up and almost finished working on the designs for most of our auxiliary systems and core systems intended for our season 2 release.

Engineering
The team worked on many important internal stuff as well as many gameplay related features. Some of the key changes this month are related to combat, crafting, questing, wardrobe and talent system. We also worked on important optimisations for our VSFX systems and laid the groundwork for this for future work.
Light probes now work for characters
Proficiencies added to crafting and combat, you can now gain proficiencies from crafting items and killing monsters
Talent trees now work on the new proficiencies and stats have been hooked up to the talent tree

The game server and services have completely removed their Redis dependencies.
The HTTP server has been optimized to allow for easy asynchronous use with the Dots API.

Going Forward
We’re going to be focusing a lot more on implementation and balancing this upcoming month. Engineers will assist the designers, focusing on bug fixing for core systems. We’ve got many more UI migrations that must also be done as well as some important systems.
The upcoming months are crucial as they help us really get an idea of our velocity with our added team members and see what we can reasonably ship for season 2.
