Monthly Treeverse Update #50
The fiftieth edition of monthly Treeverse updates. Read more for game development insights.
An update on Treeverse. A look at our development and art team progress. We will be posting monthly for you to follow along the development of Treeverse, so make sure you subscribe!
No more “soon”. It’s coming. The final build for Season 2 has been published. Here is what you can expect:
We will begin with stress tests for server and any game breaking unexpected issues that our internal tests didn’t catch. If all goes well, we will push the server live and Season 2 will be ready.
As mentioned before, Season 2 will have monthly updates. The first monthly update will introduce a lot of the NFT-related features such as item shop in $END and Timeless integration. You don’t have to rush and complete the game like its a campaign.
Sit back and enjoy. All updates for any challenges or rewards we give out will be announced on our official X channel.
Also if you missed it… Timeless integration is extremely dope. And its available for EVERY Timeless character.

Design
The design team has been working on various implementations required for our Beta release. Towards the last week, we’ve frozen our Beta branch and they have been mostly working on redefining our roadmap from Beta to official release.
Our internal play tests of Beta has given us a lot of perspective on what we need to focus on as a studio to maximize our chances of success in our official release. It’s mostly about reducing and simplifying our gameplay, and focusing on a few things and doing them well instead of trying to do everything.
We’re gearing heavily towards combat and character specialization. We’re reducing the scope of the main quest and the world map and instead focusing on improving the overall player experience.
Engineering
Engineers have mostly been fixing critical bugs for Beta release and getting the environment ready for the first stress test.
Below is a short list of some other things we worked on
NFT integration with emotes, wardrobe, pets and mounts.
Various UI fixes
Big performance improvements on server side
Combat fixes
Talent tree adjustments
Added Hotbar
Various quest fixes
Going Forward
We’re happy to say that the Beta version of the game has already been approved by the 3 stores and we’re looking to release it after some final checks and balances.
I anticipate that with all the changes we’ve made, there’s going to be a few stuff that breaks that we’ll have to fix progressively over time. We’re mostly slow releasing Beta instead so we can have some space to patch the really big issues instead of being blindsided.
We’re looking to let players test the game out sometime next week, contingent on no critical issues or problems cropping up last minute.
